Take a look at the learning mobility in Patras

From the 4th to the 8th of July 2022 InterMediaKT hosted a training course on the use of digital tools for youth workers and younger people with fewer opportunities, in Patras, Greece.

The course took place in beautiful Lampiri close to Patras where the venue of Camping Tsolis hosted 7 participants from different countries. In the post-Covid world, digitalization of non-formal education, especially in rural areas, plays a pivotal role. By using innovative and attractive tools, InterMediaKT & its partners sought to reinforce the participants’ level of digital competence while making sure that they will be able to turn this experience into positive change back home.

The main topics were focusing on using various digital techniques to reach out to people who have fewer opportunities or live in remote areas. All the partner organizations shared their best practices aimed at offering effective non-formal education on the local level, so the participants could discuss them and learn from one another.

On the first day of the training, digital competences were discussed as well as the digital transformation of youth work. The aim of such conversations was to highlight the need for sustainable and inclusive ways to achieve a smooth transition in the field. The second day was dedicated to E-learning platforms and how to make them more accessible for different population groups. Since Web Design plays a crucial role in this process, the participants also got a chance to improve their skills of website building, working with web design tools, and finding inspiration for future projects. In the final stages of the training course, such complex themes as content marketing and building a social media strategy were highlighted.

One of the more formal results of the course was creating a toolkit for youth work entities which included various digital tools easily adaptable to the needs of several target groups. It was disseminated in the Salto Youth platform where youth workers are encouraged to enrich their activities by using the resources that the toolkit provides in their personal projects.
